The Working Dogs Group "De Hollander" was founded in January of 2002. The kennel "v. Le Dobry" does the coordination. Through the Working Dogs Group we will make contacts with breeders and people with a passion for the Shorthair Dutch shepherd. This said we do not want to hurt the feelings of people who preferr the long-haired and rough-haired Dutch Shepherd. Everyone has their preference for a certain variety.

As of march 2002 the Working Dogs Group has stationed itself at the trainingfields of NBG HSV Hoogkerk in Hoogkerk (Groningen) and for the time being training time is: Thursday evening and The first Sunday of the month.

Of course the training days are not only for Dutch shepherds, but for all breeds and dog sport lovers. However if you want to participate in these trainings, you need to discuss this with us first in advance since we are not always stand-by on all the training days!

Goal:

To bring the Dutch shepherd to an acceptable level.
This means to a such level that this Dutch breed can compete alongside Belgium, French and German working dogs breeds, both nationally and international as well as in the top of the working dog breeds.

To be able to realise this we need to consider the following:

Training of sport dogs
The dogs will be trained as a working dog, track dog and utility dog.

Organisation of contests and examinations
Contests and examinations will be organised in which all work and utility dogs can participate.

Organisation of training meetings and/or seminars
The latter will be organised in order to broaden the views on dog sports and for the exchange of knowledge.
